Cayo Largo del Sur is located right in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, to the far east of the Los Cannareos archipelago. Its surface area is 37.5 square kilometers, while it is 25 kilometers long, almost all of which is beach. 

 It is situated at a distance of 135 km from Nueva Gerona (Isle of Youth), 125 km from Cienfuegos, 177 km from Havana and 177 km from Varadero. Cayo Largo has the advantage and privilege of being adjacent to Cayo Rico, Cayo Cantiles and Cayo Iguana, which are also of unsurpassable beauty and comprise, together with the Isle of Youth, the Los Canarreos archipelago

Climate

 Moderate tropical. The average temperature is 27º centigrade, possibly rising to 28º C in summer. In the gentle winter the temperatures descend to 25.4º C. Rainfall is minimal, 78 per cent of which occurs between the months of May and October; the annual average number of day when there is rainfall is forty and it generally rains in the afternoon and the evening. Eastern winds prevail.  

Playa Blanca Hotel, is located at the east end of the hotel zone, where beaches are more unspoiled and lonely, approximately 11 km Hawai from Vilo Acuña Internacional Airport and 9 km from the  Marina, where are also  Touristic town,turtle farm, the museum and other recreative centers.

 To approximately 400 meters is located Blanca beach, a beautiful and unspoiled beach that can be reach walking by the south side of the island, to west of  Capricho beach, that still have its charm and site  of being one of the hotels much-loved and desired in Cayo Largo and that disappeared after being hit by hurricane Michelle on 4 November 4^th,  2000 and a little bit farther, 9 km approximately y Playas Paraiso y Sirena
